Firefox: Private, Safe Browser App Reviews

Version 3 adds features like autocomplete of website URLs and icons for frequently used websites, using data from Alexa. How do I opt out of sharing my website URL entries and frequently used sites information with Alexa? Theres no option to opt out that I can see. If anyone knows, please post here. Thanks.

Fox, like Google Chrome are two examples of apps being put out on the market, but share minimal features compared to their desktop counterparts. You all are missing a huge group of consumers. Im talking about mathematicians, scientist, physicist, or educators in general. You guys have a great equation editor which is missing, along with a lot of practical add-ons that seem to be missing also. Im not sure why Google now Firefox sell the subpar apps.

The addition of Touch ID authentication for saved logins is great. However, its still missing all the extensions that make Firefox what it is, and the lack of reorganizing the order of the tabs makes it just as inconvenient as Chrome. I would like to see a long press and drag gesture like the one in Safari to reorganize the tab order.

The number one feature I needed - the ability to access my Firefox bookmarks while on the go is here, and that alone is worth the price of this app :) Keep up the good work IOS Firefox developers, and I look forward to the new features in the future that will bring more parity to the desktop version. To those you complaining about how this not the same as the desktop version, you are not using this on a desktop, are you?!? So let the devs know what features you need, keeping in mind this is running on a mobile device with a touch interface and lesser CPU performance!

I cant even close the App cuz it keeps giving me NONstop Adds for other apps .. I prefer your app over Google but now Google is better

They finally got this fixed enough to run. Before I would open it and it would freeze up and close. Now I am able to use the Firefox synced with my computer and all of the abilities that Ive come to expect from Firefox.

The mobile app does not have true tabbed browsing, which is the thing that made Firefox great in the first place. The "tab" opens up a window showing all the "tabs" you have open. You cant directly click on (or even see) your tabs without going to the tab screen. There are many other apps that offer real tabbed browsing.

Please fix.

I dont see a way to send a current page to the safari browser. I can send safari pages to the Firefox app, but not the other way around. This would make it a complete package in my eyes and would make my life perfect.

Since the update, I havent been able to post at my favorite forum. It doesnt recognize the text entry field so I never get a keyboard. Strange.

This is why I dont update software. The latest update doesnt work at all! The app opens and just hangs. Double tapping the home button on an iPhone 6 does nothing. This has been my go to browser on iOS since the app was released. What the hell?! Fix this crap.

Terrible waste of time. I tried to post on Disqus, and the browser flashed between the web page and the posting screen. The knack of tabbed browsing was disappointing. There is no ability to go in and adjust the privacy settings. This is not yet ready for release.

Pro: - loads sites faster than Safari - loads sites that Safari cannot load Con: - No way to sort/resort bookmarks. Very annoying. I want to sort it alphabetically. - you have to click in the address field at the top in order to switch to a different site in the same window instead of an available icon at the bottom

The lack of support for ad blocking and redirection blocking keeps me away from this browser. Fix this and Ill be a user forever

I started using Firefox on my PC, but now I use it on all my devices, all the time.

This is definitely a great browser and has now made its way on my dock. One complaint, when closing the browser as in double home click/swipe, when you open the browser back up and it immediately loads the last page you were on, all front and back pages are inaccessible and the forward and back arrows are now grayed out. This is annoying to us constant, OCD people that are constantly fully closing our apps And this is not the way it is in Safari. If you close it and then reopen, you still have forward and back functionality on any of the open tabs. I guess its as if every time its closed, it clears cache and also private browsing history settings when changed, immediately revert back to "on" or selected, every time you change them.

So after closing and reopening the app, private browsing is disabled. Private browsing should be enabled consistently
